General Assembly
The General Assembly of the Motherland Party
The General Congress of the Motherland Party is the highest forum that brings together the party delegates from the district level up to the capital level. This General Assembly of the Party is held once every four (4) years.
The General Congress is a very important platform for the Motherland Party because it is where the laws that broadly affect the different parts of the Party, such as the Party Constitution and the Party’s political program, are presented and ratified.
During the General Congress of the Party, the Chairperson of the Congress, the Deputy Chairperson, and the Secretary of the Congress are elected. The General Congress also elects the members of the Party’s Central Committee, the General Chairperson, and the Chairperson of the Central Committee.
The powers of the General Congress include approving the Party’s financial framework and appointing the independent electoral commission of the Party. The General Congress also listens to and reviews the performance reports of all the Party’s governing bodies.
