Our Principles

Among the principles and general vision of the Motherland Party are:

  1. 1. Ensuring and strengthening the unity, dignity, and sovereignty of the Somali nation.

  2. 2. Restoring and building a government that the people trust, based on constitutional democracy, patriotism, and the preservation of Somali values.

  3. 3. Establishing strong, inclusive politics and institutions that guarantee equal participation and provide equal service to all Somali citizens.

  4. 4. Improving national leadership by adhering to the country’s laws and promoting the protection of human dignity and the fundamental rights of all citizens as guaranteed by the Constitution.

  5. 5. Implementing a governance system based on good governance, accountability, and transparency rooted in the rule of law, leading to administrative and financial efficiency.

  6. 6. Enhancing foreign policy and building domestic policies based on peace, dialogue, coexistence, shared development, mutual ownership and protection, mutual respect, cooperation, fair sharing of resources, and justice-based self-governance.

  7. 7. Strengthening and advancing the foundations of the country’s stability and development, including security, economy, education, job creation, good neighborliness, and the resettlement or reintegration of displaced Somali people both inside and outside the country.

  8. 8. Ensuring the participation of youth, women, minorities, people with disabilities, and all segments of society in the politics of the Motherland Party specifically, and in the national political process in general.

  9. 9. Preventing any practices that encourage the division of the Somali people and protecting the fundamental rights and dignity of every Somali citizen.
